ÉPURE / Standards

Editorial Policy

How we report, what we will and will not publish, and how readers can hold us to it.

Last updated 5 November 2026

Independence

ÉPURE is editorially independent. Decisions about what we cover, how we cover it and what we publish are made solely by the editorial team under the Editorial Director.

No owner, investor, advertiser, partner, brand, hotel or public body has the right to review, approve or alter a story before publication. We do not accept payment, gifts or favours in exchange for coverage, and we do not guarantee coverage to anyone.

Accuracy and verification

We verify facts before we publish them. Figures, dates and claims are checked against primary sources wherever possible: company filings and statements, official data and the original reporting of other publications.

Where we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link to it. Every story ends with a list of its sources.

Attribution and quotation

We credit the work of others. We summarise reporting in our own words, quote sparingly and accurately, and never present another publication’s work as our own. Quotations are not altered in meaning; any cut is marked.

Corrections and updates

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and say so. Corrections are appended to the story with the date and a description of what changed. We do not make silent changes to facts.

To report an error, write to corrections@epuremagazine.com with the story title and the passage concerned.

Right of reply

People and organisations that are the subject of critical reporting are given a fair opportunity to respond before publication. Their response, or the fact that they declined to comment, is reflected in the story.

Commercial content

Advertising and partnerships never influence editorial coverage. Any content paid for or supported by a third party is clearly labelled as Partner Content at the top of the page and is produced separately from our editorial work.

If a story contains affiliate links, it says so. Hosted trips, loans and press samples are disclosed at the end of the relevant story; accepting them carries no obligation to publish or to publish favourably.

Conflicts of interest

Editors and contributors declare any personal, financial or family interest in the subjects they cover. Where a conflict cannot be managed, the story is assigned to someone else.

Photography and imagery

Every image we publish is licensed or used with permission and credited to its author. We may crop images and apply a consistent colour grade; we do not alter their documentary content or combine images in ways that mislead.

We do not present AI-generated images as photographs. Illustrations are labelled as such.

Use of AI tools

ÉPURE uses AI tools in its newsroom. Daily news stories bylined ÉPURE Newsdesk are researched and drafted with AI assistance from published reporting and official sources, and every one of them links to those sources. They are published automatically and reviewed by the editors after publication; errors are corrected under the policy above. Features and interviews bylined to a named author are written or edited by people.

The editors remain accountable for everything ÉPURE publishes.

Privacy and people

We respect the privacy of the people we write about. We do not publish private information, including home addresses, unless there is a clear public interest. We take particular care with any coverage involving minors.
